The Okemos Post Office gardeners look forward to the long-lasting bloom and fragrance of the lavender, a host for many summer pollinators. We continue to make improvements in our garden spaces, working with the landscape challenges that preceded our involvement. Planning is under way for adding evergreen shrubs for winter interest, more spring-blooming bulbs, and colorful annuals for summer.
The Meridian Township Administration Building gardens are located at the entrance to the Township’s administration building. A Blue Star Garden plaque is dedicated to all men and women who have served or are currently serving our country in the military.
Up against the entrance to the Township Administration building is the Eagle Garden to celebrate American patriotism. And the Safety Gardens are located the Public Safety Building (Police Department) and on Central Park Dr, the Okemos Fire Department gardens are maintained along with the help of high school student volunteers.
